Welcome Doodle's Place, our beautiful Charleston-style home in Carolina Beach! This cavernous and family-friendly 3-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom home is the ideal getaway for your coastal hideaway. Savor the best of both worlds - the tranquility of a residential neighborhood and the excitement of the beach community as you relax in our private hot tub and fenced, turf back yard space! As you can guess by our name, "Doodle's Place", we are a pet-friendly home complete with additional amenities for families and furry friends! Located just over the bridge in Carolina Beach, our home is conveniently located one mile from the sandy shores and the vibrant Carolina Beach Boardwalk (closest public beach access). We are also located steps from a public boat ramp!

This home has a basement apartment that functions as a short term rental (Doodle's Suite) that can be rented separately.

Living Spaces: The open-concept living area is ideal for spending quality time together. Unwind by the electric fireplace in the cozy living room with ample seating, and savor movie nights on the sizable flat-screen TV. The entirely equipped kitchen is ready for your culinary adventures, and the dining area provides seating for the whole family as well as additional seating at the breakfast nook. The freshly refreshed kitchen is completely supplied with spices, a blender, cookware, and anything you need for hosting!

Outdoor Oasis: Step outside to discover your private outdoor getaway. Our backyard is a haven for relaxation, featuring a enchanting hot tub — ideal for unwinding after a day of sun and surf. The spacious deck is furnished with a huge dining table for 8 plus additional shaded kids table! Let the kids and family pets roam freely in the fenced yard, giving everybody the freedom to play and discover.The fenced turf yard space features a private hot tub, shaded lounge seating, a gas grille, and even a water table for the kids!

Pet-Friendly: We understand that pets are part of the family, and that's why our property is pet-friendly with payment of $100 pet fee. Your four-legged friends are welcome to join you on your beach vacation, and they'll appreciate the close by dog-friendly areas and fenced in back yard.

When to visit & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses.
