Our top Ocean Isle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To book the largest rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. CottageVacations4u \"MEANT 2B\" -pool club- ocean view-200 FT to beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a specific Southport beach you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
