6 Bedrooms | 4 Full Bathrooms | 1 Half Bathroom
4 Kings | 2 Twin-over-twin Bunk Beds | 1 Queen Sleeper Couch

Standing near the Oak Island Fishing Pier and featuring a private oceanfront pool, Lighthouse will guide your family to an Oak Island vacation you won’t soon forget! Unwind on three levels of deck space complete with plenty of comfortable outdoor furnishings, including two covered porches and an open sun deck. Take an afternoon nap in the shaded hammock as the sea breeze washes over you or gather around the firepit in the evenings for smores and stories. With elevator access to all floors, this striking home can accommodate your entire family!

The first level is dedicated entirely to common living space. Parlor together in the living room to savor a favorite movie on the sizable, wall-mounted, flat-screen TV. The sturdy dining table seats eight effortlessly for home-cooked meals or a friendly round of cards. The close by breakfast bar provides seating for another five as well as extraordinary vistas of the crashing surf. Gleaming stone countertops and tile backsplash create an inviting kitchen space, supplied with everything you need to prepare traditional family recipes or the catch of the day. A half bath is also located on this level for your convenience, with the laundry closet containing a stackable washer and dryer on the opposite side of the hall.

The next two stories provide three bedrooms and two full bathrooms on each floor. Every bedroom has its own TV for entertainment, and all bedrooms except the bunk room also have direct deck access. At the top of the staircase on the second floor, you’ll find the first king bedroom featuring an attached private bath with a step-in shower. On the west side of the home, you’ll find a full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo, double sinks and hall access shared between the other two bedrooms on this floor. One of these rooms is furnished with a king bed. The third room may be utilized either as a bedroom or as a second living area thanks to the queen sleeper couch, additional-huge TV and wine refrigerator located here.

The layout of the third floor is nearly the same as the second, with an identical king bedroom and attached private bath at the top of the staircase. The other two bedrooms on this floor again share access to a hall bath, with one of these rooms featuring a king bed. The final bedroom is the bunk room, complete with two twin-over-twin bunk beds. The sliding door in this room has been converted to function as a window only, so you don’t need to worry about little ones escaping to the deck without supervision.

On the ground level, the private pool provides a welcome spot to cool off without the need to navigate rolling waves. Totally fenced, the pool area is complete with comfortable lounge chairs and a stone fire pit. A hammock waits just outside the gates, strung between pilings under the shade of the home. The shared public beach access one home to the west is conveniently reached via the street side of the home, but please note that the beach cannot be directly accessed from the pool area. Feeling hungry? Several eateries sit within painless walking distance of this home, including oceanfront dining options.

Take a break from the turbulent, stormy seas of everyday life and let Lighthouse shepherd your family to a well-deserved respite in handsome Oak Island today!

Please note that the pictured fireplace is not operational and is not available for guest use. Guests with allergies should note that while family pets are not accepted on guest stays, dogs may occasionally be present during owner reservations.

Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Oak Island. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Southport area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Southport area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First, have your group agree to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Lighthouse: Oceanfront with Pool and Elevator Near Fishing Pier has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your contract.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
