  • In the Southport area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To find the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Southport restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
