Island Girls has everything you need for the ideal beach stay! This roomy home is a privately-owned home and professionally managed by Sunset Properties. Three stories of living space offers room for everybody. An in-home elevator provides convenient access to each level. A reversed floorplan, with the kitchen and main living area on the top floor accepts for great ocean vistas off the deck. The first floor provides additional space with a second living room and wet bar. Outdoor amenities include a tiki bar with mini-refrigerator, sink, TV and pool. The pool can be heated for an additional $125/day during the off season. Vistas can be found from every balcony front and back! The location provides painless access to the island stores and pier. Located in Sunset Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. Rees Jones Golf Course and Willard Byrd Golf Course are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Ingram Planetarium and Museum of Coastal Carolina. Tribal Island and Planet Fun are also worth visiting.

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.

  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.

  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
