Located in the Maritime Forest, seemingly far away from it all, but surprisingly close to everything: two mins. to the beach or market; three to Old Baldy and the BHI Club. Though you may never want to leave the back porch. After a day or riding the waves, sink deep in the cushions with a drink and book and end up quietly pondering the sculptural intricacies of Live Oak trees.
The living room has a cathedral ceiling that floods the room with light and makes the comfortable space feel even bigger. The 46-inch intelligent TV is perched above a rare cedar mantle. Live Edge Oak shelves add more warmth to the room. The open floor plan, flowing into the dining area, gives everybody the chance to be together-and spread out. In the kitchen, stainless steel nestles up to old heart pine shelving. The upstairs bedroom and full bath are the ideal getaway along with a separate living room. In the crofter, over the garage, is yet another queen bed and full bath. Three golf carts. Membership to the BHI Club available.

When to visit Bald Head Island & When to book:

• In the Southport area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
