Tips to get the perfect Sunset Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. Book your Southport rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Southport area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best vacation home in Sunset Beach:

  • Choose dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Mini Suite up to 4 people has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a specific Southport beach you crave, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
